Pre-Performance Cards

Card 1: The Butterflies Are Your Friends

"Those butterflies in your tummy? They are not there to scare you. They are there because your body knows something exciting is about to happen. Those butterflies give you energy and focus. Let them fly with you on that stage."

Card 2: You Have Done This Before

"Remember all those rehearsals? All that practice? Your body and brain already know what to do. You do not have to think too hard - just trust yourself and let it flow. You have got this."

Card 3: Everyone Feels This Way

"Every performer in history has felt nervous. The greatest actors, singers, and dancers all felt exactly what you are feeling right now. It is part of the magic. You are in good company."

Card 4: Mistakes Are Not the Enemy

"If something goes wrong, nobody will know except you. Keep going. The audience wants you to succeed. They are on your side. And even if you wobble, you will recover - because you always do."

Self-Talk Scripts

Card 5: Before I Walk On Stage

"I am prepared. I am ready. I belong here. I am going to enjoy this moment. This is what all the hard work was for. I am brave enough to share my talent."

Card 6: When I Feel Scared

"Fear is just excitement in disguise. I am allowed to feel this way AND still do an amazing job. I take a deep breath. I stand tall. I let the fear turn into power."

Card 7: I Am Part of a Team

"I am not alone out there. My castmates are with me. The crew is supporting me. The director believes in me. Together, we create something wonderful."

Morning-Of Affirmations

Card 8: Today Is Going to Be Great

"Today I get to do something I love. Today I get to tell a story. Today I get to feel the lights and hear the music. Today is a gift, and I am going to enjoy every moment."

Card 9: I Am Enough

"I do not need to be perfect. I just need to be me. My voice, my face, my energy - they chose ME for a reason. I bring something special that no one else can."

Card 10: Win or Learn

"Whatever happens today, I will grow from it. If it goes well, I will celebrate. If it does not go exactly as planned, I will learn. Either way, I am becoming a better performer."

Pocket Power Cards

Card 11: Three Deep Breaths

"Breathe in for 4... Hold for 4... Breathe out for 4... Do this three times. Feel calmer already? That is your superpower."

Card 12: The Power Pose

"Stand like a superhero for 2 minutes. Hands on hips. Chin up. Shoulders back. Your brain will believe you are confident even if you do not feel it yet."

Card 13: Shake It Off

"Literally shake your hands and feet. Jump up and down. Let all the nervous energy out. Now take a breath and channel what is left into your performance."

Parent-to-Child Cards

Card 14: From Your Biggest Fan

"I am so proud of you - not because of what happens on stage, but because you are brave enough to try. You inspire me with your courage. Now go shine."

Card 15: You Make Me Proud

"Watching you follow your passion makes my heart so full. Whatever happens in there, you have already won by having the courage to be here. I love you."

Card 16: Remember Why You Started

"You love this. Remember that feeling when you first discovered theatre? That excitement? It is still there. Let it carry you through."

Card 19: It Is Just Playing
