Synopsis

Set in the late 1970s, '9 to 5' follows three female coworkers—Violet, Judy, and Doralee—who are fed up with their sexist, egotistical, and tyrannical boss, Franklin Hart Jr. After a series of comedic mishaps, the trio fantasizes about getting even with Hart, only to accidentally put their plans into motion. They end up kidnapping him and taking over the office, implementing progressive changes that improve the workplace for everyone.
