Synopsis
Billy Elliot tells the story of a young boy in a Northern England mining town who discovers a passion for ballet against the backdrop of the 1984-85 miners' strike. Billy's journey begins when he stumbles upon a ballet class while attending boxing lessons, and he quickly realizes his talent and love for dance. Despite societal expectations and his father's initial disapproval, Billy perseveres with the help of his dance teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson, who recognizes his potential and encourages him to audition for the Royal Ballet School.
