Synopsis
Set in the late 1950s, 'Bye Bye Birdie' follows the story of rock-and-roll superstar Conrad Birdie, who is drafted into the army. His manager, Albert Peterson, and Albert's secretary and love interest, Rosie Alvarez, devise a publicity stunt to have Conrad bid farewell to his fans by giving one lucky girl, Kim MacAfee, a goodbye kiss on live television. The plan throws the small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio, into chaos as Kim's boyfriend, Hugo, becomes jealous, and the town's residents grapple with the excitement and disruption caused by Conrad's visit. Amidst the comedic chaos, Albert and Rosie navigate their own romantic struggles, leading to a heartwarming resolution where love and family triumph.
