Synopsis

Calamity Jane is a lively musical that follows the adventures of the titular character, a rough-and-tumble frontierswoman living in Deadwood, South Dakota. Known for her exaggerated tales and fearless demeanor, Calamity sets out to bring a famous Chicago actress, Adelaide Adams, to perform in Deadwood. However, a mix-up leads her to mistakenly bring Adelaide's maid, Katie Brown, instead. Despite the initial chaos, Katie wins over the townsfolk with her charm and talent. Meanwhile, Calamity struggles with her feelings for Lieutenant Danny Gilmartin and her best friend, Wild Bill Hickok. As relationships blossom and misunderstandings are resolved, Calamity learns to embrace her softer side while staying true to her adventurous spirit.
