Synopsis
Cats is a musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on T.S. Eliot's 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.' The story unfolds during the Jellicle Ball, an annual gathering of cats where one cat is chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn. Through a series of musical numbers, the audience is introduced to various cats, each with their own unique personality and story, including the mischievous Rum Tum Tugger, the magical Mr. Mistoffelees, and the tragic Grizabella. Grizabella, a once-glamorous cat now shunned by the others, sings the iconic 'Memory,' expressing her longing for acceptance and redemption.
