Synopsis
Set in the small Jewish village of Anatevka in Tsarist Russia, 'Fiddler on the Roof' follows Tevye, a poor milkman, as he struggles to maintain his family’s traditions amidst a rapidly changing world. Tevye’s five daughters challenge the customs of arranged marriages, each seeking to marry for love, which tests his faith and his ability to adapt. Meanwhile, the village faces growing anti-Semitic threats from the Russian authorities, forcing the community to confront the possibility of leaving their beloved home.
