Synopsis
Set during World War II, 'Goodnight Mister Tom' follows the story of William Beech, a young evacuee sent from London to the English countryside to escape the Blitz. He is placed in the care of Tom Oakley, a reclusive and gruff widower. Initially wary of each other, the two form a deep bond as Tom helps William heal from his traumatic past and discover a sense of belonging. The story explores themes of friendship, resilience, and the impact of war on individuals and communities. As William grows stronger and happier, he faces challenges that test his newfound strength and the bond he shares with Tom.
