Synopsis

Set in Edwardian England, 'Half a Sixpence' follows the story of Arthur Kipps, an orphaned draper's assistant who unexpectedly inherits a fortune. As Kipps navigates his newfound wealth, he finds himself torn between two women: Ann, his childhood sweetheart, and Helen, a sophisticated woman from high society. Kipps struggles to reconcile his humble beginnings with the expectations of his new social status. Ultimately, he learns that true happiness lies not in riches but in staying true to oneself and the people who matter most.
