Synopsis
Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, a young man who inherits his family's struggling shoe factory in Northampton, England. Faced with the challenge of saving the business, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with Lola, a flamboyant drag queen and cabaret performer. Together, they decide to produce a line of sturdy yet stylish high-heeled boots for drag performers, transforming the factory and the lives of its workers. As Charlie and Lola work to bring their vision to life, they confront prejudice, embrace diversity, and discover the importance of self-acceptance and friendship. The musical is a heartwarming tale of overcoming obstacles, finding one's true self, and celebrating individuality.
