Synopsis

Set during the Vietnam War, 'Miss Saigon' tells the tragic love story of Kim, a young Vietnamese woman, and Chris, an American GI. Kim works at a bar run by the Engineer, a scheming opportunist, where she meets Chris and the two fall in love. However, their romance is torn apart by the fall of Saigon, forcing Chris to leave Vietnam without Kim. Years later, Kim, now raising their son Tam, struggles to survive while holding onto the hope of reuniting with Chris. When Chris learns of Tam's existence, he and his wife Ellen travel to Bangkok, where Kim has fled. The story culminates in a heartbreaking sacrifice as Kim ensures a better future for her son.
