Music by Alan Menken

Lyrics by Glenn Slater

Synopsis

Sister Act follows the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva whose life takes an unexpected turn when she witnesses a murder and is placed in a convent under witness protection. Disguised as a nun, Deloris initially struggles to fit in with the strict and traditional ways of the convent. However, she soon finds her place by transforming the convent's lackluster choir into a sensational musical group, bringing joy and attention to the church. As the choir gains fame, Deloris' cover is threatened, and she must confront her past while helping the nuns rediscover their faith and purpose. Ultimately, the story is one of friendship, redemption, and the power of music to bring people together.
