Synopsis
Set during World War II, 'South Pacific' follows the intertwined stories of two couples grappling with love and prejudice. Nellie Forbush, a spirited nurse from Arkansas, falls for Emile de Becque, a French plantation owner with a mysterious past. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Cable, a young officer, struggles with his feelings for Liat, a Tonkinese girl, and the societal pressures that threaten their relationship. As the war intensifies, the characters confront their own biases and fears, ultimately discovering the power of love and acceptance in the face of adversity.
