Synopsis
Set in the carefree world of the French Riviera in the 1920s, 'The Boy Friend' follows the romantic escapades of Polly Browne, a wealthy young English girl attending Madame Dubonnet's finishing school. Polly pretends to be a working-class girl to avoid intimidating her suitor, Tony, who she believes is a delivery boy. Meanwhile, her classmates and their respective beaux navigate their own romantic entanglements, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings and mistaken identities. Ultimately, true love prevails as secrets are revealed, and everyone finds their perfect match in this lighthearted and charming homage to the musical comedies of the 1920s.
