Synopsis
Set in the 1860s, 'The King and I' tells the story of Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher hired by the King of Siam to educate his many children and wives. As Anna adjusts to life in the royal palace, she and the King clash over cultural differences, but they also develop a deep mutual respect and an unexpected bond.
