Synopsis
The Producers follows the story of Max Bialystock, a failing Broadway producer, and Leo Bloom, a timid accountant, who come up with a scheme to make money by producing the worst musical ever. They plan to oversell shares in the production, ensuring it will flop, so they can pocket the surplus funds. They choose a script titled 'Springtime for Hitler,' written by an eccentric Nazi sympathizer, and hire the worst director and cast imaginable. However, their plan backfires when the show becomes a surprise hit, leading to chaos and hilarity. Ultimately, the duo faces legal consequences but finds redemption through their friendship and shared love for theatre.
