Synopsis
The Rocky Horror Show follows the story of Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, a newly engaged couple who find themselves stranded with a flat tire during a storm. They seek help at a nearby castle, only to discover it is the home of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a flamboyant and eccentric scientist who is hosting a strange gathering. As the night unfolds, Brad and Janet are introduced to Frank-N-Furter’s creation, Rocky, a muscular man brought to life in a Frankenstein-like experiment. The couple is drawn into a world of sexual liberation, bizarre experiments, and outrageous characters, including the loyal servant Riff Raff, his sister Magenta, and the groupie Columbia. As secrets are revealed and chaos ensues, Brad and Janet's perceptions of themselves and each other are forever changed. The show is a campy, satirical homage to science fiction and horror B-movies of the mid-20th century, filled with memorable songs and over-the-top antics. Ultimately, The Rocky Horror Show is a celebration of individuality, self-expression, and the freedom to embrace one’s true self, no matter how unconventional it may be.
