We've been running since 1950, providing a welcoming home for local amateurs to contribute to high-quality productions, with two or three shows every year, usually including one professionally-catered dinner show that's a highlight of the village calendar! Our first ever production was “Painted Sparrows” by Guy Paxton & Edward V. Hoile, in January 1951. It was performed in St. Johns Hall, which has been our theatrical home ever since. Now, 75 years later, we're also including plays written by our own members, due to a strong focus on building skills within our group, such as by offering bursaries for NODA summer school courses.
